ohk. it is formally announce... that I am now in a HIBERNATION mode at DA, because my college hectic schedule totally takes up my energy, my drive, n my everything to sketch and do... stuff. so the only reason i m active on DA, to see more art n reply to comments on mine. so basically YES, u can comment on my artworks n I will do my best to reply. :)

hmm in India..
brands.. well u get raffine charcoal pencil.. i find it the best, though if i want something more abrasive and harder, i can go for ambassador charcoal pencils also. just don't go for camlin ones, they are very soft, n breaks even with the slighest of pressure... though compressed charcoal from Camlin is pretty good, if u r confident with your charcoal strokes.

and i use blending stumps (its a recent addition), cretacolor's kneadable eraser, non dust vinyl eraser and Maped stick eraser...

otherwise i use nnormal stuff like cotton buds, tissue paper, cotton and normal mechanical pencil etc

Thank you sooooo much! It really did help. Someone had recently gifted me with ambassador charcoal pencils and I wanted to know if they were right to begin charcoal with (Since I used to sketch with only a simple apsara extra dark pencil). Also thanks for the advice regarding the rest. I will definitely keep that in mind when I go hunting. I really didn't know what to use for blending before :P. Really embarrassed by my lack of knowledge. Thanks so much for the help.

even i gathered all these knowledge with time n my own experience.. and i suggest u also do it with your own.. nothing id better than testing random items and use them with your experience... because what does not work for me, might work excellent for u...
so u can use my tips... but i really suggest....u should try out different stuff by ur own
